It's a great pleasure to be here in Banja Luka. It is a beautiful city. I am happy to be connecting with all of these professionals from the region, and I was surprised by the number of attendees. It is a great event with a great crowd and organization. There are many challenges for Telcos. As I can see, there are two major challenges: having the right talent and keeping it up to date. We have a lot of technology and it is moving very fast and talent is becoming rarer. So astechnology advancing, we need to upskill our talents in the near future. These are the major concerns we would be facing in the future.

Since this is my first time here, my impressions have exceeded all expectations. I'm genuinely impressed by the turnout, the venue, and the participants—respected names from the industry as well as a significant number of users from the region. The topics are very interesting and relevant, and they get right to the heart of where technology is headed today. How does AI impact leadership? Different types of organizations face different challenges, and here we're talking primarily about companies of different sizes. For small and mid-sized businesses in the Balkan context—not globally—there's some awareness, but they don't know where to start, and that's exactly where the business opportunity lies. On the other hand, you have enterprise companies that have made AI their number one priority. But here you see different problems: mainly a lack of a clear strategy that goes beyond just rolling out individual tools, no clear picture of where they actually want to end up, and a shortage of trained talent. What stakeholders need isn't technical knowledge—which is exactly why the role of Chief AI Officer matters so much.
